Hi folks,

after some unsolicited spider came in today and even grabbed my .js files with "JScript Processor" (suggesting to ban this UA) I am planning to put all my JS stuff into a folder disallowed via robots.txt.
(These .js files are included in the pages' footer via script tag and contain e.g. the contact email address.)
Is there any danger of being penalized by Google due to "including" disallows .js files?

Hmm, I wonder what such a UA was actually looking for?

Whatever it was, there is no guarantee that using robots.txt to ask it to stay out will actually make it do so.

Look to some solution using .htaccess to keep it out instead.
