Does it take time to update PR?
my website has been cached 21 Dec, searching for "www.mysite.com" in google I see many back links from PR5 sites, but still I have PR1!
When I am on my site and clicking "backward links" there are no back links at all at the search results!

Please feed back or advise!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld moftary.

The Toolbar PageRank chart and link: search update periodically, largely tracked in the Google Update History:
[webmasterworld.com...]

This is not a problem though, the Google index is very fresh in terms of listing new pages and often for changes to pages. In recent times, new backlinks count for rankings much quicker than PageRank updates so those updates are largely irrelevant. Most people are more concerned with major changes to Google's weightings and spam filters, as you'll see if you look back over the 'Florida update' discussion.

Thanks, ciml

Ok I understand that it takes a while to get backwards updates for Google's toolbar. In general I noticed (from my own experience and other posts here in the forum) that backwards links are from PR4 websites and higher.

Just today I noticed that my website backward links are shown in the SERPS while yesterday they weren't.

Question is, ragarding "florida update", is it still true that a backward link from a PR5 page to a website front page would raise the latter's own PR?

I've read thousands of posts here concerning "Florida Update" but still dont have a clear idea about what's going on.
