Updating the directory tags twice a year wouldn't be so hard to do would it?
I've got some new stuff that was picked up after months of waiting from dmoz into the Google directory (mid-November) but still no new directory tags :(
I know y'all are all excited with the Froogle push and the new book/print feature but please don't forget the little pluses we used to enjoy ;)
Sincerely,

During monthly updates, we'd pull down a fresh rdf dump for every monthly index, so as long as the rdf was available the directory would be fresh to within a few weeks. I haven't asked what the schedule looks like lately, but I'm happy to ask around. I might not reach them during the holidays, but I'll take this as a long-term request to keep the directory updated.
(I'll be out of town for a few days myself this week, just so people know..)
I'm not sure why its programatically so difficult to list the directory tag for site when it's found in the directory? It's probably just a matter of refreshing the index for the directory, which given their mass of computing power, should be easy?
The lack of them being updated feels weird right now, like someone just forgot to do it.
