I removed my site from google. Is It possible to come back?

I removed a domain from google using [google.com...] using robots.txt file:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

The domain is dedicated to a forum and I needed to remove de messages from google cache and the site was closed for some time. I think I should remove only a directory and not the entire domain.

I changed my site and robots.txt file to allow search engines again.

Do you think that after some months the site can come back to google or the domain is dead to google?

The site still shows page rank 4 at google toolbar.

Surely that would be the last way I would stop my site from being crawled. Before I would have done that I would have made it in a un-linked sub-directory. However the deed is done.

Set your robots.txt correctly and get some additional links out there. Suggest you submit to DMOZ as well. Then keep an eye in the log files for GoogleBot and see if she crawles the site. In theory it should and all should be okay! Good luck!
