250,000 Quarter million posts!

Wow, who would have thunk it!? The first Google forum on the entire internet, becomes the first to roll past 250,000 messages. The interesting thing, is there are several thousand more over in the Froogle, AdWords, AdSense, and Toolbar forums.

Thanks everyone, and ok - thanks Google - for such a "talk worthy" engine.

It isn't often that snippets from arcane (to most people) forums get picked up in the mainstream press. The rash of recent news articles concerning the "Florida" update illustrates the growing influence of WW on folks other than webmasters.

Bretts posts 12,563 so of 250,000 that's about 5% not .5%

Isn't 5% message/keyword density what he's been recommending all a long.

Nice of Google to provide such a talked about update (florida) to help get over 250,000 before year end.

Sorry Brett but I hope Google settles down, so there's not as much to talk about in the forum.

It doesn't seem that long ago when it was 100,000. Amazing.

Florida put it into overdrive for the last stretch. The reason for that is that when the sh*t hit the fan, and people needed to figure out what was going on, they renewed their expired memberships, or were told of, or found online, WebmasterWorld. Because this place is the best place to figure it out.

Great point. The mods were masterful this time, and I'm sure many had to pitch in on the Supporters Forum as it was more of a refresh bonanza than Forum 3 at times.
