How Often is Google Image Search Refreshed?

Seems a long time.

Why google images has not been update for 'who knows how long'?
Anyone?

I sent a question about this to google and they said this ..

"Thank you for your note. You can currently search more than 425 million
images on the Web with Google's Image Search. However, there are many more
images on the Internet that Google has not yet added. Google is working
continuously to crawl more images to increase the quality and quantity of
images in our index. We are not able to specify an exact time frame for
our image crawls. "

so no answer from them really..

Hmm. I have seen Googlebot-Image in the last month, but the crawled images haven't been added. There are lots of 404 images in there too.

That is another area where Google is, to say the least, very disappointing.

Other search engines have all picked up the images from my sites within a couple months. In contrast, I have a site that is two years old, and the images are still not in Google.

I have few that are up for over a year and still didn't see any changes in google images. Not only for those pictures, but in many other categories and keywords I monitor daily.
