Image link + Alt tag enough to boost PR?

Or will it be ignored?

We have a software tool that helps people build web pages. The tool, with the user's permission, leaves a small Image tag on the generated page with our logo, that links back to our site. It is similar to the "powered by" tags I'm sure many of you have seen on some web pages. In the Alt Tag for the image we put keywords related to our web tool.

Will the image link, with it's Alt Tag text, be enough to help boost our PR with Google, or will the link be penalized for being a non-text link?

thx

That's Perfect. ALT work the same as anchor text.

JUST DON'T stuck too much keywords in it, 3-6 works fine.
