Flash with php ===? in google.

how flash fairs with google.

Hey
Most of my pages have been ranking fairly good in google for diff keywrods. I want to add a small flash on my pages of my website. Can any body tell me if in any way flash may affect my ranking or PR or anything in terms of google.
How does google see flash? I dont want to add flash if it might affect my negatively in terms of google.
I will appreciate your reply.

As long as you do not expect the flash component to show up in the searches, and your navigation is still in HTML, you should be fine.

Using flash as a *non-essential part* of your website it the proper way to use flash.

What kind of component? sidebar, header, little fancy bits somewhere on the page?

I figure as long as you don't decide to put your content into a swf or your menu or navigation, then it shouldn't be a big deal.

well the flash I will have will be just for like 2 sec on the page but it won't hinder with my other content on the page.
Consider it as a small circle which appears on the page as soon as somebody comes to that page. After 2 sec its gone.
So will that be ok with google spider.
