Why are Google advanced searches so good?

If I apply any of the advanced filters I get pre Florida results

If I do any of the following advanced searches I get identical or near identical pre Florida results.

intitle:widget insurance
allintitle:widget insurance
allintext:widget insurance
allinanchor:widget insurance
-fufufu widget insurance
+the widget insurance (or any other common word that might be used with widget insurance like "quote" for example)
widget insurance -site:www.google.com
widget insurance -site:www.**nichecomptitor**.com

Could one of the boards experts please explain why this might be.

Also if I search for widget insurance on yahoo.co.uk using the "from UK" filter I get the same results as above but the post Florida results are delivered at google.co.uk for the same search.

I would really appreciate an explanation.
