Newbie Google crawl questions

1. Our new site is largely database driven, meaning there aren't many static pages...will crawlers see all the links and everything? I'm just hoping it will see the site in its entirety.

2. When does the google crawler run? Is there a way I can find out when it will or atleast when it has?

2) Check the Log files of your Webserver an look
for googlebot. This is also discribed in the FAQ.

Tipp: be patient and design your page for humans.

I find google takes about 4 to 6 weeks.It seems to take several weeks 3-4 after the googlebots initial visit to get indexed.
