Google indexed temporary address....

How can I make Google find new address? Problems with duplicate content?

I'm looking for a little help here.
My site was assigned a temporary address while I was transferring my domain name. During this time Google did a deep crawl and indexed my site. So instead of my url being widgets.com it is 234738742. This is not very appealing.

Apparently some time afterward google came back and indexed my home page widgets.com.

Two questions:

How do I get Google to realize that widgets.com and the temporary address are for the same site?

Can my site be removed from the index because of duplicate content on different domain names?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
