Hey guys.

Well, i read the florida update thread and i decided to open a special thread for the index pages missing issue.

it seems that all of my index pages can't be found on the serps, but the inner pages are, even i got alot better results for my inner pages than i used to.

i tried to make sure that all of the backlinks that my index page is receiving would have the same anchor text (which is my main keyword), could that have caused it to disapper from the serps (please note that it still go the same high PR, and the same amount of backlinks listed on google).

Question is if it's :

1. Some kind of new panelty.
2. Some bug on the current update which will be fixed soon / on the next update.

Thanks.

I have the same problem .. I guess it is

i) Specific Keyword penalty.
ii) Interlink penalty.

I am going with GLITCH - my entire site is doing well except for the index. I think the missing index page was an issue with the last dust-up. I think the vast majority of concerns stem from the index page not placing like it used to. The index page usually contains the $$$ keywords and panic and paranoia ensue when it goes awol. It does not seem logical that every page of a website except for index places as well or better in the serps. In the meantime I am building new pages that target the keywords I lost with the missing or devalued index.
