Value of Links from Subdomains

Are multiple links from subdomains worth pursuing?

I'm in a position to get links from several subdomains of an institution's website. Each subdomain is a different site and is independently managed.

Would all the links be as valuable as each other, or is it not worth getting more than one link from each a domain.
e.g.

www.site1.institution.com
www.site2.institution.com
etc.

Yes, they have the same value - no matter if they come from a subdomain [google.com] or from a "standard domain". Google doesn't differentiate between canonicals [google.com] and first level domains.

I wouldn't contentrate on getting links from these subdomains only though.

What I meant to say is: If I already have a link from one subdomain, is it worth bothering to get links fom other subdomains, or will they be of very little value to my PR?

Yes.

Same as coming from any other page.

If the subdomain carries pr, you'll get some of it. :)

sorry if it is a bit different theme altogether,

If one page contains two links to my page,
1) one with "a b" as anchor text
2) with "b c" as anchor text

Whether both will counted? which anchor text will get more weight?

I hope I made myself clear.

Thanks
