Ok guys, here's the question.

I have a website www.website.com

when you goto that url the shopping cart directs you automically to www.website.com/ns/customer/home.php using a php tag:

header("Location: ns/customer/home.php");

Does this affect the page ranking at all? Because the home.php has had a PR0 for as long we can remember.

Also, when we are linking to our site, should we get people to link to www.website.com or www.website.com/ns/customer/home.php?

Does it make a difference?

Thanks so much for your help

If your www.widgets.com has pr and redirects to the pr0 site it is only a problem if you want to link to other people and pass on PR.

If you are only looking to promote on search engines, keep linking to the site that has the PR thats my opinion.

Also just because you can't see the PR in the tool bar should not be a concern. Get good quality sites to link to you with correct anchor text and you should be ok.

But you see, the page that is doing the redirecting does it do fast that there is n way you can tell if it has PR or not. In fact, the user cant even notice hes being redirected its done so fast.

The thing is though, I have just gotten links from PR6 sites back to mine, and I need to know what to put as the link.

Should I put:

www.website.com

Or:

www.website.com/ns/customer/home.php

?
