Hi,

My position is changing quite often. But I have made some major changes like I have added <h2><h3><h4> tags for the keywords. Also I have changed the keyword density.

According to me these changes are on positive side, so I should get a better position.
When can these changes be reflected on my SERP.

Will it take more than a day?

Thanks
Aji

kw2 :287
kw3 :91

Day 2(After I changed some minor changes)
-----------------------------------------
kw1: 88

Although the traditonal dance is over I believe everflux is even more relevant. Not sure if you had fresh tags on your site during those days, but that too could be a consideration.

Changes should be updated within a couple of days up till a week or so, but that is dependant of the amount of backlinks, and, as a result, on the PR.

Not sure if you had fresh tags on your site during those days, but that too could be a consideration.

most of my pages shows a tag of 29 oct, but my homepage or the url xyz.com doesnt show any date. Also some of the pages doesnt show any tag(the date).

What might be the reason behind it and how does it effect my ranking?

I am not very familiar with the fresh tag concept, please try to explain in detail that I can get some help.

Thanks a lot

Fresh tags are simply a "date tag" when the freshbot came around and took a new "snapshot" - "cache" of your pages. Usually, the higher your PR and quality of backlinks will dictate how often you get a fresh tag. A lack of fresh tags is certainly nothing to worry about, and as Googleguy said "they are just icing on the cake". Do you by chance have access to your raw log files? That's where you can really find the needed info to see just when the Googlebot came to your site and what pages were requested.

Are your SERPS staying the same? Have you lost any position. Check your website and check each page for a cache. I've made it a habit to put dates on my pages just so I can tell how current the cache is - it just makes it easier for me that way to check my current page against what google has indexed.

Most Probably Reason.

Study about google datacenters and load balancing.

There are 10+ google datacenters and each will return slightly different results, esp those buried down. :)

A search at google.com is actually redirected to one of the datacenter. SO, you see different results.

LOL! Yeah, this is most probably the case. An exception is when the keywords are search > 1000 a day, then you might get some extra clicks. :)

plasma, even i feel nothing better than #1, i can adjust with #2, i can survive with #3, i can still have hope with #4. All this is just a dream for me now.

reality is I am at #88, plasma is there any shortcut to reach #1. I think #88, then #66 .............

so keeping a watch and improving doesnt hurt.

Yeah I read it and I go by it, only problem is the patience,
and the other problem is my competitors also go by the same rule.

Links(anchor text) are the key to success, I wish I get good links without hard toil.

Thans a lot.
