Googlebots and AOL cache

Last night I had the joy and wonder of watching Googlebot crawl my hobby site. I traced about a dozen users back to crawler.google addresses. It was enough to bring happy tears to my eyes. :)

I also noticed several IP addresses that traced back to AOL caches! This isn't the first time I've noticed Googlebot appear the same time as these AOL cache addresses.

A fluke? An end of the month crawl?

Anyone else noticed this? What do people think?

i have noticed the same thing, i checked one of my sites logs with webtrends, and even tho the google ip shows, it actually says that its coming from an aol data base, very weird.
