Look as if Google is in the process of updating PR. Seeing a variation between old and new values on a lot of sites.

Who cares, really? SERPs are what matter. (Yes, yes, digitalghost, I know that it's conversion, that REALLY matters. ;)) And SERPs are slowly getting better for me though my PRs have been going steadily down through several months.

AFAIK there are quite a few other webmasters who are seing the same tendency for their websites.

New and previously PR0 pages now displaying PR4 and 5. Some pages up to PR6 once again.

I'm also getting better results in SERP's when my PR is going down. In fact my PR for a site was 6 it's been going down since 3 months but I'm getting better and better in SERP's :)

Confirmed. Site with no PR for past six months {lack of links} now has PR for the first time.
