How do they work?

Hi,

I live in mexico and use www.google.com

My site is number 1 for my keywords here.
Will the results I get in Mexico be different than what someone would get in the US? How can I see the results elsewhere? If I use www.google.com.au for example, will I still get my Mexican results?
My web hosting is in the US.

Thanks, Pat

Results returned will depend on whether the person checks the Search the Web button or the Pages from Australia option right below the search term entry box

Additionally, there are more subtle affects depending on the IP, Google version and language settings of the surfer even when 'searching the Web'.

Yep, there is no such thing as "my Google rankings" anymore.
Now it's "My Google rankings for user A", "My Google rankings for user B", "My Google rankings for user C" etc.

Yes it's true, if I search google.com.au for a specific keyword a certain site comes up in 4th place.

I am told that if you search the same keyword in Ausrtailia the site I see in 4th place is somewhere else way down the serps.

I would say it depends on IP addresses, i.e. your source/ sites destination.
