Anchored text from non indexed website

Would it help in rank?

as many of us knows that anhored text from other sites gives help to get better rank for a site. But if a non google indexed site put the anchored site link then would it given weightage in google or it's useless to do that, and I should give links to only listed site?

How would a site unknown by Google improve another sites Google ranking?

It will count once that page gets into Google. Someday that page might be your highest ranked incoming link.

In my opinion, it can even be worth linking to unindexed pages that link to you.

People often used to discuss doing this back when it didn't help. :-)
