It's the first time I see the Googlebot-Image on my site! This site has been well indexed in Google for over a year, and the images are in all the other image databases. I was beginning to wonder... Good!

In the olden Google Dance days the update wasn't preceeded by a datacenter going down. Likely this means something else.

It's been my experience that pages with higher PR update more often than pages with lower PR and that the higher PR sites get crawled more deeply than lower PR sites. It's hard for me to believe a blanket statement like "expect a backlink PR update in a week"

There is no confirmed reason about to stop updating backlinks list.
I think process it's only delayed.
If you see threads around 25 days ago it was the same noise just before -ex update.

Googlebot started to visit often again after few quiet days..Does that means that next months crawl started..Usuall I see the SERP changes in 2 days after so hopefully see new backlinks on sunday..

I did qualify the statement by separating google updates into four categories.

I am drawing not only from experience with the sites that I maintain, but from the experiences of other webmasters.

If you maintain a PR7, PR8, or PR9 sites with contrary behavior, I would love to hear about it. I maintain only one PR7 site (and several of lesser PR) and it follows this pattern. I presumed that people asking this question are maintaining sites that fit within my experiential framework. I may be wrong about that. (BTW, if are you are referring to the rapid introduction of new pages by high PR sites, I would classify that under the freshening update category.)

I am seeing a DNS issue. I can not access anything Google here in Texas. I can however access through servers in other states.

I just did "site:www.bluegizmo.com -dsfds"
query on -sj and it has all of the pages in my latest site in its index, only the index page has a listing on the www and the 9 other datacenters. I have to check some clients sites now :-)

It is not my domain, I didn't even know it was an active domain. The use of variants of the word "gizmo" is common is posts, so I really din't think of it as a violation of the TOS.

I will from now on use example.com, when I post messages.

defnitely seeing some big changes in SERPs Im monitoring...and not due to fresh activity I'm only seeing it on very highly competitive terms - almost like Google is implementing changes from the click tracking they've been doing pretty heavily for the last two weeks.
