Listed only under url - no description

Change to my Google listing

A couple of weeks after I first uploaded my site I had a really good listing, pg 7 and rising under 'word1 word2'. The suddenly and inexplicably the listing is now just under the address and there is no decsription. It has been like this for several weeks now.The HTML hasn't been changed, any ideas?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, janscott.

If Google doesn't fetch the page because it doesn't crawl deep enough or because of /robots.txt exclusion, then you get a URL only listing.

Hopefully next time Google will get the page, and you'll get your proper listing back.

Have you checked that your meta description syntax is correct?

Here's where I show my ignorance - I think it is correct in thta it has been checked by others and looks the same as other sites I have examined. Any tips welcome and thank you for your comments so far, folks.
