Adult sites under a children's search term...

I have recently started work on a popular children's theme site. I was suprised and, I guess, disturbed by several porn sites with very explicit photos on the home page within the top 20 serps.

Can these sites be removed or penalized simply because this particular term is 'primarily' a children's theme? Would you put on your white hat and try to clean up this kids serp?

I have no problem leaving them in the dust as far as the serps go, I just (personally) want them out of this term's serps. To much parent in me or go for it?

Report it to Google. There is no one here who would do anything else - end of story.

Very true. If I'm helping a child look for Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, I want pics from the Gene Wilder movie, not pics from someone getting wilder sans jeans.

this is exactly the sort of thing that could ruin the freedom from legislation that search engines currently enjoy if allowed to spread...you have to report this abuse!

That is one of those instances where you should, without reservation, report it.
