Google bot question

Hello guys, i need your help on something.
Can you please tell me how the googlebot is spidering the pages of a website on the web?
Is it just looking for meta tags? Or it's also following links from my pages to arrive to other pages of my website?
What if my website uses sessions and the links in my pages look something like:
[example.com...]

Does the googlebot access this page and crawl it?
