Wondering if anyone can help me.
A despeate cry for help from a struggling website designer!

My site has been indexed by google for a while now and I am still not coming up on certain search strings. When I search for certain phrases like "[snip]" or "[snip]" and a fair few others I rank very high.

BUT: when I search for "[snip]" itself, I appear nowhere at all. I know this is a very competitive search term. I have read hours of postings on this site, on Google Answers and have spent alot of time following the advice, in fact I have totally changed my website but to no avail. So I have registered on here hoping some of you out there may be able to help me.

If there is anyone out there who can offer even a little advice I will be very grateful. Please feel free to visit my site on www.example.co.uk if that will help you with any advice you can give me.

Look forward to hearing from any of you

Thank you

Hello and welcome to WebmasterWorld spakkie,

When you search for "website design" are you checking through all the SERP's? What happens if you do a search for site:www.yourdomain.com "website design" are you then listed? If you are listed then it's a case of promoting that page more with the use of <h1> tags, using the keyword in your page title and increasing the keyword density in the page.
Obviously a little more things come into consideration check here for a fuller tutorial [webmasterworld.com].

Also I would remove the URL to your webpage before the MOD's do, as it is against the TOS.
