Is this normal and I've never noticed before? Also, when I clicked on the Google logo, it took me to www-sj - funky, man.

Pretty much by visiting a page with Internet Explorer. IE is so insecure anything is possible. Do yourself a favor and install another browser (opera, mozilla, netscape...)
