Is it just me or is Google now showing a ton more results on the front page of search results?

I just did a search and I'm getting far more results on page 1.

Strange. For about one minute it was showing the top 100 results on the first page instead of just the top 10. I wonder if they were testing this out for a reason or if it was just a glitch. Sure could change the dynamics of trying to get into the top 10.

I didn't change any preferences. I'm not sure what I could have done to change the results.

I suppose it's possible, I just don't see how I could have done it.

did you perhaps click on a link from your log file? That link might have had the num set at 100 ...

No. I even tried typing in a search a few times to see how the heck I got that result. Same thing.

I captured a screenshot if anyone is interested. What are the rules with posting a link to it? I know I can't post any of my urls.

the num= is what sets the results per page usally set in the advanced search option [google.com]

Have a play with the advance option page you will quickly find out all the other variables.
If you run an advance search with page set to 100 your next search query will also display 100 results until the browser is closed. check to see if you have bookmarked a serps page which is set to 100

Bingo! I have a bookmarked search that was forwarded to me. It was set at 100. I did not realize that it was at 100 or that it would affect later searches.

Sorry for the confusion.
