Well it appears a new update is underway as evidenced by changing results backlinks and even pr. Yahoo is now a 10. ODP is a nine, as is msn. Bobby.watchfire.com is now a nine, unless we're being redirected from a ten.
Thus, according to my toolbar.

It would be nice to have a link on the Yahoo home page!

I notice the ALL link in the Yahoo directory begin with something like

[srd.yahoo.com...]
SS=93571615/*http://www.MyDomain.com/

Wouldn't this mean that Google cannot use the PR from the directory to the listed site?

Yahoo is PR10 on -sj. The default is the old PR.

"No" as in Yahoo links do count. Go to any Yahoo pr 4+ category, click on a site, check it's backlinks and look for dir.yahoo.*
It won't always work as the web is evolving constantly. Sometimes rather than regular Yahoo, you will get a regional or countrywide version instead but one is usually there.

ps. I'm not sure if bobby.watchfire.com went to pr 9 this time around or if it was last month, but 2 months ago it was a 10.

it involves changing your hosts file which is found in your windows folder to point at -sj's ip address. i suggest a site search for 'toolbar queries' or 'toolbarqueries' although google usually comes up with it much quicker.
i.e. www.webmasterworld.com/forum80/196.htm from google
