Hi.
I have a international page that google crawl and update every day. Recently i have started to modify some text/keywords to see how it affect page rank. Page with my new content are snapped up by google every day. I know that because i can see that on google-catched page. My question is;

Will my modified page go stright to top (or bottom...) ranking as soon google has updated catched snapshot of my page - or will this mayby take some days/weeks (ranking better over time)?

Thank you wery mutch, and excuse my bad english;-)

Hi jelseth,

It all depends on what keywords, content you are using on whether you rank high on google, although to rank high on google is not rocket science if you follow the basics and play by the rules.

Rankings don't change if all else is the same if that's your question. They only cahnge as goole finds new links to the page, finds cahnges on the page, or finds such changes with any of the other pages ranking for hte same keyword.

So, no, a page doesn't start with a low pagerank, and then slowly improves without any chagnes being done. What DOES happen often with new sites is that google adds more and more pages and the rankings for pages already in the index increase as the new links are found.

I am not changing anything until Google stops growling and settles down.
