In the last 2 months the mix is more like 65% google, 15% aol and Yahoo.
This is confusing since for the most part the SERPS are the same on all three search engines.
I can only speculate as to why. Two thoughts: AOL continues to lose users by the millions so less searches from their users. Google continues to grow its monolopy.
I don't know about Yahoo. That part doesn't make sense. I also can't figure why it seemed to happen so suddenly 2 months ago.
Any thoughts?
Which, even though they might have made it "better" might not have made it "good enough" to convince people to drop the real Google.
For some of my sites, the traffic is almost as much Yahoo as Google, but for others, I get 3 times as much Google as I do Yahoo.
Anything else, even AOL, is way, way down the list, depending on demographic, industry, keyword list, etc.
It is just odd to me that the mix of referrers to my sites changed so drastically and so quickly. For over a year the mix was just as Mohamed_E said, "monotonously consistant."
Another great internet mystery goes unsolved......
