PR vs.Anchor Text

Which is more valuable?

I have been approached by someone willing to sell me one text link on their homepage for PR. For this example, say their PR is 6. I also have another associate (that will charge me also) that is willing to place links on his web pages (30 pages total, PR is not good at 2 and there are multiple links so the PR transfer is about nil.) that I can customize for my anchor text. (He is not a link farm)

My question is, say the cost is the same ($300 for the year)
Is the PR more valuable to me or are the anchor text links?

I would argue the anchor text links but I was curious if I am correct in this assumption?

IMHO you should also take into consideration the traffic either deal will generate. After all, why care about PR if you've got plenty visitors? That could be a reason to go for the 30 links.

Why not do both? To answer your original question, tho, I'd say anchor text.

This depends on your situation.
Check pr of your competitors at serps and check allinanchor: also, if it's the same, I would think in traffic from links.

It all depends on what your site needs more of. What is your current PR and how many links do you already have coming in with your preferred anchor text?

Looking at your site via your profile, I would do nothing more than exchange links, not pay! Use the $$ on something like Google AdWords and add lot's more optimized informative content pages to your site and link to each. This will bring you FAR more, better quality traffic in the long term.

The fact that they approached you mean something!

Thanks for the replies, a better question what is the market value for 30 links with anchor text? Obviously it would go up in $$$ w/ a high PR. But for my purposes the person offering has mostly PR3 pages.

The market price for thirty PR3 links would be 30 PR3 links. I do most of my link trades for PR4 or better...

I would not pay cash for PR3 links...Just trade!

I wouldn't pay for a PR6 page link.
