So, in Google.de
[google.de...]
when typing in the command:
website site:www.website.de
*only* website.COM URLs are listed. None from website.DE.
Now, the two domains are sharing the same IP address. And I know that some web site owners 'park' domains together for quite legitimate reasons (such as for same-language sites - website.com and website.co.uk, for example). However, in this case we need to have separate domains so that we can measure and track their online marketing campaigns accurately. These are two distinct web sites - one wholly in English, the other in German.
We are keen to know what we need to do to separate out these two domains before we implement a series of online marketing campaigns. We need to measure visitor numbers etc... quite separately.
I cannot find anything on the Google web site - or any information elsewhere in Webmaster World. We would be happy to consider anything we need to do - and if that means hosting the two sites independently - each with unique IP addresses - then that is what we will do.
Thanks.

You can easily find out if Google considers these two domains as the same: If Google shows the english description (of website.com) for info:www.website.de then Google doesn't distinguish between www.website.de and www.website.com. (In this case all incoming links to both pages should be shown for link:www.website.de as well as for link:www.website.com and both pages will show the same PageRank.)
However, if you have a number of incoming links for both domains the problem should disappear after some time. Although, it can take some months.
