I currently am PR 4, I know, not that great. But a couple months ago, I was top 10 or 15 in my target keywords. We are a small company, so this was still very decent for us and our sales. For the past month and a half, we have slipped all the way to PAGE 13 and PAGE 14. This obviously has crippled us.

Our content is decent, we have some backlinks, etc. But why such a dramatic fall? Is there anything I can do, or can I sticky anyone to take a look to give me a direction?

I would be eternally greatful.

"This obviously has crippled us"

Would advise treating leads from Search Engines such as Google as bonus leads instead of factoring them into your business model.

If you want a dependable number of click throughs based on position use paid inclusion directories or services such as AdWords or Overture.

we have some backlinks

I think your situation would be better if the above was "we have some backlinks with keyword rich/search phrase anchor text".

Soledrag ,We can never rest on our laurels with Google.
They are constantly updating and indexing more sites than ever.Competition is fierce and and it just maybe you have slipped behind the field.
Endeavour to acquire more backlinks with ,as mipapage says,"keyword rich/search phrase anchor text".

Add more text and include more variations of your keywords, make sure your main keywords are in your title, get a Dmoz listing.
These things and more will help you in google. You could also consider using adwords and see if that works for you.
Cheers

Maybe "crippled" is too strong a word. We use Overture and Google Ad's to our advantage. We can certainly get by with that. But when we are up in the regular listings, we are crusing. It's just frustrating to fall so far, so quickly.

<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/link">anchor text</a>

Where anchor text = your keyphrases

SoleDrag,

A few links to get you started. Follow the links in these threads for more. Try the site search and library links at the top left of this screen, too.

There's a year's worth of reading here without even catching up. Then of course, there's even more in the WebmasterWorld supporter's area.

And now today I'm 2nd page. Is there any explination for a 12 page jump in one day? It's so frustrating.

SoleDrag,

jdMorgan has pointed you to some good readin', be sure to check it out.

How old is your page? Age seems to help with Google, and with their rolling update and the way they work serps can be unstable at times.
