Removing Links

I have a site that was ranked very well, but my partner decided to participate in a reciprocal link program and he basically turned 3 pages of our site into a link farm. Of course the site has dropped in ranking, and now I want to remove those 3 link pages from our site.

My question is, what is the most tactful way to do this? Should I just remove the three links pages from the site, or is that going to effect my rankings any more than they have already been effected.

Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

Just delete the pages.

Are you sure the links pages lowered it's ranking?

I know of and have several sites that have 2 or 3 links pages that actually place quite well.

If you lose the link pages, will they all drop their links to you with the ever important anchor text? Perhaps only a couple of the links are from "bad neighborhoods". You might just want to visit your link partners and determine whether or not they are hurting you.

May actually hurt you worse if you drop the pages and lose a majority of your inbound anchor text links because they all drop you as well!

only 1 or 2 of the links are showing up in my backwards links. So I don't think that they are really helping me out that much.
