Rotating links

Good idea?

I think about putting random teaser links onto one of my site that will always be different.

The pages are generated by a script anyway and I might put 10 random links to other content on site in there.

Pro: The user (and Googlebot) will get to see links to "remote areas" on the site. Some of it not even reachable by other links.

Con: Every time Googlebot comes back to the page it will find other links. Is that a problem for the backlinks to the "remote" pages?

Having stuff on the site that is hard to reach by navigation is bad anyway, but sometiomes hard to avoid. How much of a problem are the rotating links for SEO?

I've heard it said that Google doesn't like sites which change on every visit. However changing content every 24 hours should be OK.

Do you recall where you heard that? Do you have a link to a related article or thread?

Sorry I can't remember what thread it was but I think it was a post by BigDave who tends to know what he's talking about.

Not 100% certain about this though but I'm 99% certain that somebody's said it. Doesn't mean it's correct though.

I thought it was quite the opposite. Google loves content that changes frequently.

Yea and they like sites that do nothing for months too. Go figure.

willamowius, don't worry to much about it. Just make sure you have another link to all these pages from somewhere else on your domain, (and G can see them) such as a site map.
