BackLinks Gone -- But only for Large Sites

Research of top competitors - no backlinks shown?

I have been researching my main competitors and have seen some strange occurances in regard to backlinks.

Many of my competitors with High-PR ( and great serps ) don't show backlinks? It is almost as if google is hiding this information for some site but not for all.

Has anybody else experienced this, and what does it mean?

The backlink checking has been a bit sporadic the last few months - I would put it down to the 'everflux' of the Google db in general, and not a penalty / change in ranking, or anything like that in particular.

Donīt count on the backlinks they are all over the place......goto alltheweb if yu want to see a sites backlinks with a more recent update.
