What does it mean when Google visits?

Not the crawlers, but a visit from google.com

While looking at my stats yesterday, I noticed a visit from IP(forget the number) Google.com CA. It wasn't one of the crawlers or googlebots that usually come around every few days.

Does anyone know what this means, if anything?

I know a lot of people worry when they get visits from inside the plex, but it's most likely someone who works at Google just using the Web.

I don't know what the Web usage policies are at Google, but I imagine that Googlers shop, browse art, check sports results and try to find Googlewhacks just like anyone else.

I got a phone call from Google last week. I damn near fell off my chair when I looked at the caller ID...

As it turns out, it was just a simple question about my Ad Sence account.

I did ask for a free PR10 link from google.com, she laughed very hard.

I also asked her if she knew GoogleGuy, which she did not, but she was going to ask around and tell him that I said "hello".

Could be a number of things: Review of your adsense account, someone filled out a spam report on you, or just a google employee surfing.
