i have a query regarding the frequency of key phrases in the website.

say i m optimising for
keyphrase

i will certainly put that in the homepage .....
but there will be many webpages in my website which will contain this keyphrase .....
my Q. is how much this play a role in SEO for the
keyphrase .....
