New form of search engine deception?

Sorry if this has been raised before - I couldn't find it using the site search...

I found a site that has what was to me a new way of "hiding" the text that had got it to #1 on quite a competitive search.

The text is not hidden, but it is "below the fold" - ie you can't see it when you load the page initially. It would be visible if you were to scroll down - but the scroll bars are disabled. You can still get to the "hidden" text by clicking and dragging, but the average punter would not see this.

I put in a spam report - anyone else seen this or have any views?

PS if it isn't banned it might be a short-term way of getting to the top. I shan't be using it however!

I hide text once in a while. I hide links once in a while. It's loads of fun. Keeps life interesting. I get spam reported but I never spam report anyone. Somehow my stuff always works :)

Somebodies stealing my idea,s(joking).I have on occasion put hidden text at the bottom of a frame page ie left nav or top graphic frame and disabled scrolling - it works a treat and with javascript in place in case of orphaned pages only the very determined are going to find it.
The pages have been up for over a year now and still doing quite nicely:)
