Ok..here's a question I can't seem to find the answer to.

In creating a site map should just the links to internal pages with keyword rich text be used.

I was considering actually using the site map page an a large content page, providing a breakdown (synopsis) of the sites contents. Within this content would of course be the keywords linking to internal pages.

I've heard pro's and con's concerning site maps and SE actions...

I'd appreciate some input.

Will it be organized with in-context links within paragraphs rather than as a list of links to the site pages?

In my opinion it would probably be best to model your sitemap after Google's SERP layout. Google obviously likes its own pages. Just for a joke I modeled one of my sites after Google's SERPS. It is now #5 for its primary search argument. In designing the pages I began to realize several things about what makes pages rank highly with Google. If you want the url of the site so that you can see it for youself send me a stickymail.

Yes..the page is a written synopsis encapsulating the website pages. There are roughly only 50 pages in this site since it's primary concept is to maximize PR internally and send it on to my e-comm site.

Speaking of the google site map.
I just made a guick test to realize somebody is doing something highly unethical (IMHO). Just type:
google site map
in google and you'll see the results that appear just after the genuine google site map. Some company is making a mix of the google site map with their own site map. It's really confusing and I'm affraid unfair.
What's your opinion?

What's your opinion?

A quick check using a couple of trusty old keyword research tools revealed that nobody ever searches for "Google Site Map"

So very few people are really going to care :)

Well, so what's the point in posting a mixture of Google site map and their own links?

None that I can see. Useful original content on a topic that the world is interested in is a good idea.

If I really thought that somebody might be interested in Google's site map, I'd just drop a link to it in a relevant place.
