What's Freshbot and how can I tell if he's been around?

I am new to the SEO stuff. What exacly is freshbot? How can I find out if freshbot, googlebot, etc. are visiting my site?

Googlebots are (were?) divided between Freshbot and Deepbot.

Freshbot crawled the web all the time and index fresh information. It usualy only crawled a couple of pages and these were only visible a couple of days in the SERP (phenomenon called EVERFLUX). The higher the PR of your site, the more likely you saw Freshbot regularly on it. The bot IP range is/was 64.*

Deepbot is the bot that will crawl all the pages of your site (at least it'll try) and gather information for the next Google update. Here again the higher the PR the more pages were crawled. The bot IP range is/was 216.*

To know if one of them came to your site check your log files or install a log analyser software.
