Google won't index a domain at all, there are many links pointing to it, no spam on the site, not sure if they ever did anything bad in the past, but I don't think so.

Google won't index it, I've submitted, sent email to Google, got new links, and still nothing, any ideas?

Not sure whether this will work but if u r hosting the site on a shared server then the IP is also shared. then mayb the IP has been banned bcuz of some other jerk .Of course ur site will also b banned. Try changing servers / changing the IP of the server.

Again its a long shot so dont blame me if it doesnt work but I have known this to happen.

All I can suggest is:

1) Check for anything on your site that google may not like (which you may have there without knowing), hidden text, nearly hidden text, duplicate content etc

2) Get some links in, the more the better.

Also why not get another domain going if this one is going nowhere?

Sounds a bit odd to me. Things to check:-

1. Are your inbound links spiderable? i.e not in the form:-

htt~p://www.link.com?url=blah.com&referrer=me&linkID=123

2. Double check your robots.txt (and your logs) and make sure you're not blocking all (common mistake actually)

3. Are you using a framed redirect (cloaked forwarding)?

not sure if they ever did anything bad in the past, but I don't think so.

4. Hmmm... check it out - what does a google search for www.yourdomain.com produce?

Try a search for

info:www.mydomain.com

or

cache:www.mydomain.com

I have a similar problem with a site that I put up back in mid-June. A few weeks later, if I did a search on a couple of keywords--including the name of the company--the site came up #1. Now it doesn't show up in Google or most of the major engines.

The guy who runs the hosting company isn't exactly the most professional, and I could see him doing something with one of his own sites that could get him banned.

Is it true, as mentioned above, that using a shared server with a banned IP will get your site banned as well?

I can't think of another reason why my site isn't listed.

When I was first looking for a hosting co, I started calling them and asking 'Do you host porn'-to my surprise, all but one, the one who's ad I had seen in the back of a biggie computer magazine years ago that said in small print at the bottom 'We host no porn' , all but that one said yes. I went with the no-porn one and have never been sorry.
Fabulous company all around and my sites get Google indexed instantly once i put an inbound link from one of the other sites I manage. And they do really well in SERPS.
Sticky me and I will tell you who I use. I love 'em.
