I've noticed that my PR has gone down from 5 to 4 last week. I did a search at google using 'link:www.mydomain.com' (is this what is meant by backlinks?). I found that it says there are 55 links of which only 27 links actually show up. Many of the pages listed are my own site linking to the index page which seems rather odd.
Since this is the first time I've ever actually checked at google I can't say what it had been before a week ago. Using various other link checking sites and have found that I have well over 100 hundred links back to my site. A number of the high ranking sites aren't listed in google (edu sites and other industry sites).
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
