I am discussing some of my websites here.

1. My Web Wesign Company Website had PR5 and 80 links. Links are now 116 but no change in PR. When can we expect soem +/-?

2. MY SEO website got PR3 within 45 days of it being put on the web. Now I worked out some Links for it and they are indexed too with the latest indexing and updates by Google. Can I expect some PR +/- here too?

3. Another website (NEW) got PR4 in 2 months. With just 20-30 links. It was great for me.....! One ODP Listing and some links made the game...!

What do people say about it? Especially teh Big Bosses here?

My PR 7s and 8s have been steady, despite no increase in backlinks;

My 5s and 6s have seen a PR point loss each, despite moderate _increases_ in backlinks (over 100% increase);

My 2s and 3s have seen PR point increases to 4, despite only mininum backlink increases (less than 10 per);

The conclusion I've come up with is a new staggered PR ranking distribution which may not depend on backlinks at various levels so tightly. I.e., 2/3/4 is easly acquired; 5/6/7 is now only acquired through LOG PR gains, and 7/8/9 remains the same.

Only thoughts though. Currently have at least one site at every PR level from 1 through 9

We have sites now in the index for a few months - showing good in the results but not showing any page rank. Also have some other new sites that are for more competitive keywords and they are not being found at all even with a nice amount of links.

Will be glad to see some "consistancy" back with Google. I am sick of our Clients calling day in and day out and until things settle we are not accepting any more SEO projects.

Some new content area pages created in late March and April remained at "PR white" (somewhere 'tween 0 and 1) for several months.

I dinna concern myself with it as the tageted terms resulted in the pages popping up regularly on page 1 of the serps. Targeted terms are common for the content area, but admittedly the FYI type content is rather niche and these are not highly competitive terms so I'm not having to knock heads with PR6+ folks.

In the last week or so, index page for each new subject area began to show toolbar PR of 3, with the subpages in each FYI section coming in at toolbar PR2.

SERP position dinna change upwards, but as I'm not clingng onto #10 for dear life, I can be happy for the time being.

Score 1 for Google.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of their agenda.

Well, I have taken a new site from PR0 to PR5 over the past four months. It has been a harry ride, but after some fluctuations it seems to have settled on 5 for the past couple of weeks. More importantly, it is in the top 10 SERPS for virtually all of the relevant search terms.

(Couldn't have done it without WW :))

no change in PR. When can we expect soem +/-?

I've come to not expect anything anymore. It seems to be a new game since this spring. Seems like all you can do is the best you can on making your site what used to be good seo then hope for the best.

Also don't put all your eggs in one basket, optomize all your pages, not just your homepage. You get a lot more search terms going that way and will get more hits to lesser pages.

When can we expect soem +/-?

Depending on the quality of the backlinks and many other variables, the PR might not change - if you were a low PR5 before you might be a high PR5 now. The higher the PR value the wider the banding is. PR is effectively logarithmic in scale.
