What position am I?

My SERPS range from 6 on to 50 depending on the datacenter, my backlinks and referrals from Google are up, but those backlinks are months old, and my general traffic is down since the update. PR likewise is up, but again suspiciously similar to months ago, and amidst all this I'd like to be able to make some kind of plan for the future. I got a PR8 link in July but that seems to have pushed me to No. 6 on 2 datacenters, while other datacenters show old results despite Freshbot hitting regularly. What is my PR, what are my back links, and what are my SERPS?

That's my vent - back to content/links. Any tips much appreciated.

Best,

Jeremy

back to content/links

Best tip I've heard. ;)

I've found that watching the SERPs, backlinks, and PR can be a lot of fun. But lately it's not been as much fun and I'm not learning much from it.

Thanks for the response. I agree with you, watching all the various indicators these days isn't so much fun. I get a bit of revenue from Adsense, so I'm using that to get related PR7+ links, which in turn generate more revenue and better SERPS so I then can buy more links, and so on. Together with adding great content it's a simple but effective strategy, and I'm getting closer and closer to those yummy top 5 positions for strong keywords when 6 months ago I was nowhere. That's all that SEO is for me at the moment, I'm not sure if in the end it's too much else for anyone. Good luck with your site,

all the best,

Jeremy
