Hi all,

We were just added a few minutes ago to the Google Directory (added to dmoz in may, just showed up as being listed in the directory now.) Well, we dropped 30 spots for a major keyword that I follow, with no other changes done to the site. Is this normal? Will the site move back up after the next freshbot? Regards,

Dave

Are you actually in the directory? or are you just showing a category link in your search engine results?

Many people gained a link a few weeks back, but have yet to actually show in the directory.

I am showing as having a link to the directory, but not actually in the directory; still trying to figure out why I would drop so much because of this.

I just checked our site as well.
In SERPS our listing shows our catagory. This is brand new for us, to be in the Google directory, (We have been in ODP for a while), but as just mentioned, we are also not actually listed on the page that the the SERP links to.

How does that happen?

People have been noticing this over the past 10 days or so. Guess we just have to be patient a little longer until the Google directory catches up.

It's alnmost 2 months now that one of my sites shows the Google Directory link but if you go to the directory page that the SERP links to it doesn't show up anywhere...
