I have 2 sites, one site is the form www.domain.com, my second site is forum.domain.com every page on www.domain.com has a link to forum.domain.com every user who posts on forum.domain.com has a link to thier profile on www.domain.com. Is this bad?

This would be better suited in the link development forum.

But to answer your question -- I don't see any real problem with this setup... but this doesn't mean my opinion is a guarantee.

It's your domain and it's your sub domain (forum) and the link structure is based on number of members not posts, therefore probably ok.

I would think though that some would question "why does the profile go to the root which isn't related to the member or the forum.

You would probably do better by have a link going to the main page of the forum and the mainpage of the forum linking to the mainpage of your domain.

1. your way -- tons of link popularity at lower quality.

2. my way -- tons of quality, one link, no questions, and a guarantee not to "be bad".
