Using a link organizer to trade links.

Will this hurt my ranking?

I'm using a very popular link organizer on my site - just installed. I've managed to trade over 200 links(quality) in just a few weeks time. However, this link trading software does not allow me to install it on my website. In fact, when you click to go to my links section it takes the visitor to a url that is NOT on my site.

My question is this - what does this do to the value of my back links? Will google penalize me for using this? Will the people I trade links with benefit from me using this - some are not willing to trade links with me because of the software.

No, they will not benefit from your links.

I agree. It should help you but not them, but then i guess thats what you are really aiming for with a competitor.
