Pros & Cons of indexing images

What is your opinion?

We have over 300 images (jpeg and gifs) on our site, we have all of the images in a /image directory and currently we have our robots.txt setup as to disallow /images.

Is there any advantage as to having the images spidered? Some of your images are keyword names.

If you think that someone using the image search might visit your site, then you should allow GG to index your images.

Personally, I believe that people seaching for images are NOT interested in visiting websites, just COPYING images.

I agree. We have also discovered corrupt images in some of our domains that have actually stopped GB from indexing through the site. Exclude your images directory from the spider, you are better off on all fronts.
