I searched the forum, seems no specific answers to my question.

I have a site about 3 months old and I have not done any promotion except submitting to DMOZ. Now my site is in DMOZ and indexed by google.

The problem is that my homepage didn't even have correct title when google crawled my site. now the google result shows my site without correct title(from my reading here, I know title is extremely important, especially it's homepage!)

I found WW only recently and deceide to do some SEO for my site. I updated the title, add more pages... but I'm concerned that google may never re-crawl my site again due to it's lack of popularity.

So my question here is that which one is better: register a new domain name and start from scratch again OR keep the old one and goole will re-crawl my site and update the title of my homepage after more backlinks, more popular?

Thanks for reading through my post and any suggestion is really appreciated.

Hi Feng,

Welcome to WW :)

So my question here is that which one is better: register a new domain name and start from scratch again OR keep the old one and goole will re-crawl my site and update the title of my homepage after more backlinks, more popular?

Google will cent % recrawl your site since it is in dmoz (which would soon be distributed to a host of sites on the internet, including google directory.)

It would be totally stupid to leave this site and register a new domain. Your title and page will also be updated when google updates its index with the new crawl.

Google has been doing pretty much crawling these days and it would get to your site too, Ask your admin to check the logs files to see if googlebot has already hit your sites in this week or so.

Wait, have patience, and you will have ripe apples to eat :)

Hello zf007

The fact that Google indexed your site signifies that it will crawl it regularly and reflect future changes in the index.

Welcome to the club!

This marks the begining of a rollercoaster of love-hate relationships with big G.

good luck

As you guys said, google re-crawled my site today! and indexed almost every page of my site.
Next I'm gonna start to get more links...
BTY, does google do this type of update every month or longer?
thanks u guys!

Hi

Used to be every month but now it updates all the time for some sites. You have joined at a very unstable time for google, and the index keeps reverting back to old listings. So don't be surprised if your old titles reappear soon. Keep calm and the new pages will stick eventually :)
