I have waited almost 4 months already. Googlebot only visited twice, first time it only visited robots.txt AND index.asp, then he left. Second time was not a crawl, he just took all my images away and he did not go into any .asp, .html...etc.
Trust me. I am a seasoned programmer and I do know what I am doing. I did no tricks to fool the bots. Every single text on my page is meant to be seen. All variables passed between forms are less 2 and there is no "id" in the variable names. I did not spam any keywords.
I seriously don't know what to do anymore. I am not talking about getting high PR and get listed in the front page in a search. My site is NOT even included when I search google using my URL except for the "Coming soon" page which I had a long time ago while I registered my domain.
Can someone share some ideas? What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.
Ray
Mine gets cached one day behind. I now this because I have news articles and dates on my homepage, and guess what - it now shows the 12th articles as well as the 11th articles. Tomorrow will be teh 13th articles and so forth.
Crazy.
I did notice on the 12th googlebot found my robots.txt file, did a GET/ on everyone of my pages during the day, but the pages are not listed anywhere, on any datacenters.
So does this mean I am still in everyday home page is cached land with no links indexed? What is the procedure?
Yikes! jd
No, Googlebot came to my homepage again at 1:39am and just looked for my robots.txt file (which I have but it is just a blank page. I am trying to avoid any 404 errors) and then 5 seconds later got my index page and then left like the site didn't have any links.
I have a sitemap, links (html), java button menu and alot of text and pictures on my homepage. Doesn't make any sense at all. This has been going on for about the last 2 months in the same way.
Google came to my homepage about 2 weeks after I put my page up and did the same thing but they never listed my page until last week.
I do have good rankings for only one search term. But it would be much better if they hit my whole site to find the really relavant material. I know that the frontpage was added in the last update.
If Googlebot got all of your pages during a deep crawl, you will get listed. It's only a matter of time for you now.
Kinda funny I think, here I am a grown-up and now I'm worried about a "Crawl". Help! I'm regressing!
